American Catholics for Religious Freedom (“ACRF”) was founded to educate Catholics about the increasing threats to religious freedom from an overreaching and intrusive federal government. We are comprised of a diverse group of supporters, from all political affiliations, dedicated to protecting and preserving religious liberty for every American.
ACRF believes the fundamental religious freedom of the Catholic Church, its charitable institutions and the conscience of the faithful have been infringed upon by a flawed political agenda. We believe that allowed to go unchecked, Americans of all faiths and backgrounds should be concerned about further erosion of these core Constitutional rights.
A national organization, we actively encourage fellow Catholics and people of all faiths who share a commitment to religious liberty to stand united by signing the Catholic Unity Pledge, and proactively raise awareness about the dangers of government intervention in the affairs of the Church.
ACRF will organize and mobilize its supporters across the nation to ensure defenders of the Church and religious liberty have a powerful voice at the ballot box. The organization will construct grassroots efforts across America with a special focus on states that will play a critical role in deciding the 2012 election.
